The Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) of Chicago and Cook County work together with Local 134 to support those members that choose to pursue a college degree. The classes you take at IN-Tech earn dual credit towards an associate degree at Daley College. If you choose to pursue a bachelorette degree at Illinois Institute of Technology in the Industrial Technology and Management program Powering Chicago has a tuition reimbursement program available for 134 members.
The Helping Hand Fund is a charity started by 134 members that raises money to support 134 members in their darkest moments and when they are most in need. This is the standard of Local 134 and the ECA. The union industry takes care of their own and the communities they live in.
