IN-TECH provides an experience unlike any other. Your classroom might be at O’Hare International Airport, at a skyscraper in the loop, or in one of Illinois’ state-of-the art solar energy fields. Your training will not be limited to a classroom, because you will work on the job, side-by-side, with other apprentices and experienced electricians on actual job sites.

What You Can Expect

Your training to become a union electrician will include a diverse curriculum experience, requiring classes for about three months, and working with contractors the remaining nine months of every year. You will have the advantage of working with some of the most modern technology in the industry, with your choice of training options for two programs: Electrical Construction or Communications.

Our Electrical Construction program consists of a five-year program that will train you to assemble, install, maintain and test electrical equipment and wiring systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings.

IN-TECH’s Communications program consists of a four-year program that will train you to install and maintain structured wiring and electronic systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings.
